GT-2150

Right from the outset, revising and refining such an iconic and popular model as the GT-2140 was not going to be a simple or easy task for the designers at Asics. Yet this is exactly what they have managed to do! Lovers of this shoe will skip (or more to the point – run) down the street very happy and satisfied with the classic feel of the GT-2150. The feedback from owners of this shoe was that they wanted to see only minimal structural change. They felt as though the shoe was already perfect for what they wanted.

The focus of the design team was to create a shoe that would feel even more comfortable, perform with greater efficiency and feel ‘smoother’ than the previous model.

The result has been in increase in the smooth transition throughout the strike of the foot. From the moment the heel lands on the ground and all the way through as it springs off the forefoot and toes has been made to be an even more smooth and ‘jar free’ experience. This has been realised with GEL and in both the rear and forefoot, as well as the DuoMax support in the arches.

As with the Kayanos and DS Trainers, the use of new lightweight materials has helped reduce the overall weight of the shoe – down to a very respectable 9.5ounces. All in all, the GT-2150 is a quality shoe, very similar to its highly successful and well liked predecessor, the GT-2140 with the modification, only minor yet enhancing to the overall feel and performance of the shoe and at under $100, the GT-2150 represents exceptional value .
